222: All-Ireland Bread Baking Championship

Rules & Conditions:
Each competitor will bake the THREE items listed below:
- Carrot & Pineapple Loaf (2lb Loaf tin)
- Tea (7ins round)
- 4 Plain Scones.
- The items should be displayed as one exhibit on a base of 2ft x 2ft approx.
- Points will be awarded for taste, texture and presentation.
- The competition is open to amateurs, One tray only per exhibitor.
- All items to be home made by the exhibitor
- In the event of an objection & following an investigation, & if the exhibitor is deemed to be making their living from their profession, they may be disqualified.
- A SuperValu Flour wrapper to be displayed with the exhibit.
- A special class will be held at each qualifying show.
- Two trays may qualify from these shows for the final, if judges agree that the standard is high enough.
- The Judge’s decisions are final at all stages of competition.
- All exhibits displayed at owner’s risk.
- An exhibitor can only qualify One exhibit for the All-Ireland Final
- These rules should be read in conjunction with the ISA rules.
Entry Fee to Qualifying Show - €3.00 Final - €6.00
Final at Castleblaney Show on Monday 4th August 2025.

Entries will not be taken on the day
When unloading Exhibits please be mindful of others
All exhibits must be in place by 10.30am on Show morning. All exhibitors please ensure that class numbers are secured on their exhibits.
Judging commences at 11am sharp
No persons will be allowed to remain in the Indoor Section while judging is in progress, except for those officially retained
Judges Decision will be final in all classes
All Exhibits must remain in place until 4.30pm.
When taking out exhibits please give exhibit ticket to the Steward and they will give you your exhibit.
The Committee accept no responsibility for loss or Damage of any exhibit.
Prize Allocation Rules
- Where there are no more than two entries Classes will be amalgamanated or cancelled at the shows discretion.
- Where entries total 3 or fewer, only 1st place prize money will be awarded.
- Where entries total more than 4 or more 1st, 2nd & 3rd place prize money will be awarded.
- Prizemoney will be PAID out on the day of the show.
No entries permitted on day of event.
