Rules & Conditions
- The Competition is open to girls & boys, age on the 1st September will determine the class each exhibitor enters
- One exhibitor qualifies from each qualifying show for the final
- Animal can be of any Sheep breed, male or female (Pedigree or non-pedigree)
- An exhibitor can show an animal belonging to another flock owner
- Junior exhibitors will exhibit a 2025 born lamb (male or female)
- Exhibitors may be asked for proof of their age at the final
- No Entries will be accepted on the day of the Qualifying Show
The Competition will be Judged on Criteria, which will Include the Following:-
- The ability to handle & present the Lamb to its best advantage in the show Ring
- General knowledge about sheep including their feeding, breeeding, etc
- Stock judging, the abilityto judge & place a group of lambs or hoggets
- Personal presentation of the stock person
- Presentation of the animal
Entry Fee:- to qualifying show - €10: To Final - €15

SPACIFIC REQUIREMENTS SHEEP
All sheep must be identified individually with appropriate ear tags issued in accordance with the requirements of the National Sheep Identification System (NSIS)
Movement Documents
All consignments of sheep being moved must be accompanied by a completed dispatch document. Individual details of each sheep in the consignment must be recorded on the document. Sheep from non-restricted flocks only canbe moved to Shows. In the case of flocks
restricted following diagnosis of scrapie, sheep possessing the ARR/ARR genotype only may be exhibited. The movement of these ARR/ARR genotype sheep must be accompanied by the relevent movement permits (SCR/10), which can be obtained from the local District Veterinary Office in the countywhere the flock is located.
New Rule for Exhibitors
If a qualified exhibitor does not turn up to an ISA final without giving prior notice to the ISA office or to a board member, he or she will incur a financial penalty
Entry Fee to sheep Classes €10.00
All Sheep must be in Pens by 10.30a.m.
Judging will commence at 11.30a.m. Sharp
Prizes unless otherwise stated :- 1st - €55.00; 2nd - €35.00; 3rd - €25.00:
Note:-If insufficient entries in any section the classes will be amalgamated/cancelled
No entries permitted on day of event.
